HEWI was honored twice with the German Design Award 2022 "Special Mention". The award honors submissions that impress with their outstanding design quality.
In the category "Excellent Communications Design - Integrated Campaigns and Advertising," the cross-media campaign Design Comfort Care was honored. The HEWI Lifesystem Redesign convinced the expert jury in the category "Excellent Product Design - Bath and Wellness"
Cross-media campaign HEWI Design Comfort Care I Accessibility in architecture
Society is changing and with it the demands on architecture and product design. The publication "Design Comfort Care" and the accompanying film form the central elements of the cross-media campaign. Design Comfort Care is aimed at architects and planners to illustrate the design possibilities of accessibility as well as to present barrier-free architectural solutions. With this in mind, the campaign was developed together with architecture and design experts.
HEWI LifeSystem Redesign
LifeSystem focuses on people and their needs. The products are adaptable to the body dimensions of the users and have been developed according to ergonomic and kinesthetic aspects. The flexible usability promotes the independence of the users in everyday life. Well thought-out product details enable easy and convenient use. The redesign of HEWI LifeSystem offers new surfaces and enhanced functions. The system supports nurses in their daily work.
The German Design Award will be presented for the tenth time in 2022 and is organized by the German Design Council. The intention of the award is to honor submissions from product and communication design that provide answers to the challenges of our time and think design further. In this way, the award makes design trends visible across all industries. The German Design Award is one of the most recognized design competitions in the world and enjoys a high reputation far beyond professional circles.
The "Special Mention" award honors consistent design conception and implementation. Product and communication designs are judged in each category by a separate panel of experts.
